When Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 program put us on their Companies-to-Watch list in October, we quipped, “We’re on the list because we’re onto something.” That “something” is this: SMBs are in the crosshairs for identity-based attacks—and MSPs urgently need enterprise-grade identity security solutions to protect them.
Everything we shipped this year—from new Okta deployment patterns and security playbooks to SOC 2 Type 2 attestation and deeper automation—was about meeting that need and proving that ZeroTek | Okta is the best way for MSPs to deliver Okta IAM as a service to SMB clients.
Here’s what we delivered in 2025—and what it meant for our Partners.
1. Market validation and trust: Deloitte + SOC 2 Type 2
In 2025, ZeroTek cemented our credibility for MSP-first IAM.
- Deloitte Fast 50 Companies-to-Watch
Deloitte’s recognition of ZeroTek’s rapid growth underscored that IAM is now essential for security-focused IT service providers and confirmed the strong demand for enterprise-grade IAM in the SMB market. - SOC 2 Type 2
Completing our SOC 2 Type 2 audit gave (and continues to give) Partners independent proof that the identity platform they rely on operates under strict, continuously tested controls, directly supporting MSP sales, compliance, and risk conversations. - A formal Trust Center and security narrative
We centralized how we communicate our security posture and controls, making it easier for your team to show how ZeroTek fits your governance and vendor review processes.
Result: You can standardize on ZeroTek | Okta for IAM and answer the “why should we trust this?” question with hard evidence.
2. Raising the floor of SMB identity security
In 2025, we continued to help Partners:
- Make identity the security backbone for SMBs
To get security right, you have to get identity right. We published a lot of practical guidance for MSPs this year to help with exactly that, including a proven roadmap for MSPs coauthored by our Partner, New England Network Solutions (NENS). - Harden against advanced authentication threats
Okta is powerful; ZeroTek empowers MSPs to use it well. This year, among many technical guidelines, we gave MSPs a concrete response to session token theft and showed how to protect against synced passkey attacks. - Enforce strong device posture
We updated our guidance on when and how to roll out device trust and Okta’s device assurance to enforce OS version, patching, encryption, and MDM status before a login ever succeeds.
Result: MSPs can easily offer a consistent, Okta-led identity baseline that closes the biggest attack paths first.
3. Making Okta the easiest IAM for MSPs to deliver
In 2025, we continued to reduce friction for everyone on your MSP team.
Faster, cleaner deployments
All our Partners get our field-tested MSP best practices, but this year we publicly shared:
- Our step-by-step Okta implementation guide to protect SMBs, so Admins can successfully deploy Okta-powered IAM to any SMB—of any size, in any vertical—and secure the apps and systems that matter most.
- A detailed AD-to-Okta migration path, including when to keep AD authoritative, how to flip to Okta mastery safely, and an AD decommissioning checklist for when you’re ready. (Read how Boston Tech Advisors did it with terrific results in this case study.)
- Content around using Universal Logout, device trust, and going passwordless with Okta Fastpass—so your teams have deep, MSP-specific documentation backing their work.
Better economics and packaging for IAM services
We also leaned into the business side of getting IAM out to your clients:
- Usage-based Okta billing and MSP-friendly licensing stayed at the core: no annual commitments, no license inventory, no renewals, and monthly billing aligned to what your clients actually use. Good for you, good for your clients.
- Our bundled vs itemized IAM work helped MSPs package Okta either as part of a standard security stack or as a standalone “Okta-as-a-Service” line item. ZeroTek’s consumption model supports both.
- We doubled down on partner support and enablement—1:1 onboarding, Okta-certified technical support that understands MSP realities, and sales enablement resources that turn identity into a growth engine, not just a cost center.
Result: By the end of 2025, MSPs could credibly say, “Okta is our standard IAM platform—our clients love it—and ZeroTek is how we deliver it profitably and at scale.”
4. Looking ahead: super-charging Okta for MSPs
There’s more—a lot more—coming in 2026.
In our “What is Okta for MSPs?” webinar, we introduced ZeroConfig, an upcoming automation tool (launching February 2026) designed to turn an essential ~3-hour manual Okta org setup into a single click—complete with drift detection and remediation when core configurations wander.
ZeroConfig builds on everything we established this year:
- Okta is the clear IAM leader for MSPs’ SMB customers.
- ZeroTek is the multi-tenant, “MSP-shaped” way to deploy, manage, and bill for it.
- Our deep partnership with Okta lets us keep shipping the capabilities MSPs need to protect—and delight—their SMB clients with high-value, intuitive services.
But that’s not all. There’s more coming in 2026—all focused on one thing: making ZeroTek | Okta the platform of choice for MSPs who deliver (or want to deliver) high-value IAM services to SMBs.
