Because “bad actors” are sometimes very good actors

No security-conscious MSP wants to discover someone on their team accidentally reset a password or unlocked a user account for a threat actor impersonating a legitimate customer. Being able to verify caller ID first is essential.

That’s why ZeroTek makes it easy for your techs to confirm that people contacting your help desk are who they claim to be before doing anything in a customer Okta Org—especially security-sensitive user management actions like resetting authenticators or passwords.

ZeroTek’s Verify Caller ID feature uses the Okta Verify authenticator app to push a strong possession-based multifactor authentication (MFA) challenge to a user’s phone, then lets your help desk personnel see whether the challenge was met with success or failure.

Of course, ZeroTek’s audit logs provide comprehensive details about the MFA challenge (who, when, where) and the outcome.

REVISION (December 2024) – ZeroTek has further enhanced our Verify Caller ID feature by adding Fail-Safe Options that allow MSPs to ensure your best practices security protocols are being followed. You can now require staff to verify caller ID before performing security-sensitive user support actions, and to input the ID of the support ticket they are working off of to improve the auditability of their activities.
