5 ways ZeroTek invested in MSP success in 2024

To succeed in the age of cloud and SaaS, MSPs need to protect customer identities and assets, strengthen their security posture to defend against evolving threats, and manage multiple customers efficiently. When our MSP Partners succeed, we succeed. That’s why our Partner Success and Marketing teams developed a suite of free sales enablement resources to help MSPs sell IAM services to their customers:

  • White-label brochures customized to explain the necessity and value of IAM for different MSP audiences: technical customers, non-technical customers, and prospective customers.
  • An ever-growing catalog of reliably sourced, attention-grabbing statistics and trends in IT security to help MSPs customize their messages and communicate the risks of delaying the protections they’ll gain with IAM
  • Comprehensive overview of industries affected by compliance standards to help MSPs target sales messaging and understand what different clients may need.

Our MSP partners have free access to our extensive training materials, which help them ramp up quickly and operate successfully from day one. Completing our ZeroTek | Okta Foundations course not only provides an essential understanding of ZeroTek and Okta, but it can also accelerate the process of earning your Okta Certified Professional (OCP) credentials.

You know that terrible dream where someone on staff accidentally facilitates a breach because a threat actor convincingly impersonates a customer?

Did your stress level rise just imagining that? We’ve implemented some solutions to protect identities and reduce the likelihood of such breaches ever occurring.

Verify Caller Identity and Fail-Safe Options

ZeroTek makes it easy to ensure that users contacting your help desk are who they say they are before you undertake security-sensitive actions like resetting passwords or authenticators.

Even better, with our new Fail-Safe Options, you can make it mandatory for all staff to verify a caller’s identity before they can complete those sensitive actions. “Don’t let bad actors fool your help desk” describes these features in detail.

From helping you with onboarding to friendly and effective technical support to a Partner Success team that really listens, we want our MSPs to succeed.

As an industry leader, Okta regularly evolves their platform to help keep their enterprise customers secure. ZeroTek always evaluates Okta’s new features and settings through an MSP-centric lens to determine how they work for the MSP business model and the unique needs of their typically smaller-than-enterprise customers. We research, field test, peer review, collaborate with our Partners, and work with Okta to determine and broadcast the best practices that will help MSPs thrive.

#4: More Okta in ZeroTek

ZeroTek brings the power of Okta to MSPs by providing an easy-to-navigate user interface, tailor-made for MSPs, where they can complete most day-to-day Okta tasks. We regularly evolve the ZeroTek platform to include additional Okta functionality, to minimize the time users spend switching between products. There’s now very little MSPs need to do in Okta directly, which means MSPs enjoy more streamlined operations, comprehensive auditing of staff activities, and get the most out of ZeroTek’s role-based access control (RBAC).

#5: Stopped holdouts from delaying MSP Okta rollouts

No matter how well organized your plans are to roll out Okta to a customer, some issues that are out of your control may crop up, like users who don’t activate their new Okta account before your scheduled go-live. This meant chasing down those stragglers, escalating the issue to their managers, or following complex steps to resend activation emails (which still wouldn’t necessarily get results). Now MSPs can use ZeroTek to set a temporary strong password and activate these Okta users in seconds, then proceed with the customer rollout as planned.
